Goodbye Work! Hello Hair Academy!

Today was my last Monday at work! It was supposed to be next week, but I am going to a funeral in Salt Lake that day. Jason and I are leaving Friday to head to his dad's house in Bountiful. We will be at motorcycle races all Saturday and possibly a Stix concert that night. Sunday will be spent with family, Monday the funeral and driving back to Rexburg, and then Tuesday I start school at The Hair Academy!! I am very excited, but at the same time feel like I'm not ready. I'm sure its just first day of school jitters and excitement! I am definitely ready to have something going on again to occupy my time during the day. Paul Mitchell, here I come!

Merrily Rolling Along

Wow! A lot has happened in the last month!

First of all, Jason has decided to double major in Communications and Business. Since he was minoring in Business, the double major should only take him two more semesters than was originally planned. So, we still have about two years here in Rexburg.

Second, I have decided to go to school at the Hair Academy here in Rexburg. I start June 1st, go to school Tuesday-Saturday 9:30-5:00, and should be finished in about 13 months. I'm very excited and can't wait to get started! There are a few things I do need to get before the first day though, mostly just black clothes. I have to wear all black to school everyday so I definitely need to get more black.

Third, I just found out last week that my Aunt Kathy (my mom's sister) passed away. Nobody knows why, she just didn't wake up. My cousin Amber is planning the funeral and the family is all making arrangements to be in Salt Lake for it. The funeral is on the 31st, so Jason and I will probably head down that Saturday, a few days before. My mom and Amber want my sisters, Randy, Scott and I to sing Abide With Me 'Tis Eventide at the funeral. It's gonna be hard, but I know we can do it and I know Kathy will love it. We Love You Kathy!

Then I thought I would just add some pictures to catch up on the last month's happenings.

This was our Easter. We colored eggs, made "Easter grass" out of shredded newspaper, filled eggs and had a new puzzle.

Just a couple of eggs we forgot in the dye and they turned out to be the best ones!

My new (new a month ago) hair color that I love!

Goals!

So Jason and I decided last night that we are going to start going to bed earlier, getting up earlier and working out everyday. Today is the first day and I must say, working out with the Hip Hop Abs video is harder than I thought, especially if you haven't worked out in months! I will survive though! We originally planned on getting out of bed at 7:15, but that turned into 8:00, which isn't too bad, but is something we need to work on. Jason started his morning with The Marine Corps's 22 Minute, No-Weight Warrior Workout and after eating a bowl of instant oatmeal I began with my Hip Hop Abs. I know it will be a struggle the first week or so, but I am excited to be working out again, being in better shape for summer and having more energy!

Please Pray for Dad

Hey everyone,
Yesterday I got an email from my mom saying that my dad had been in an accident. He was training for a job driving bentonite for one of the local bentonite plants out in wyoming and learning to drive a double load. He had been doing just fine driving and on the second load somehow the trailer went off the road into the ditch. My dad scratched up his head a bit, but has no other injuries. The man that was training him was crushed and killed. It has been a very traumatic experience for my dad, who is blaming himself for the man's death. Please remember him in your prayers. I know his faith will pull him through, but this, on top of losing his job and being afraid he'll never drive truck again, have got him pretty emotional. Please pray for him, and also for the family of the man who died. Thanks so much!

Rolls!!

I decided I would try to make rolls for the first time a couple days ago. I just found a recipe online that sounded good and away I went!

I don't think I got enough flour mixed in before putting my hands in it...

Workin it...

Perfect!

Dough!

Tada! The finished product!!

So I realized it has been a very long time since I posted anything on here. Here is a quick little update and I will upload some pictures later. Jason has switched his major from Business to Communications with a minor in Business. With that he still hopes to becomes a business consultant. Jason still has about four semesters left and an internship. Mary has started her own business selling PartyLite. PartyLite is a company that sells candles, fragrances, home decor and some food products with Two Sisters Gourmet. If you would like to check out her personal website it is http://www.partylite.biz/mpassarella. Mary just got back from a trip to Billings, MT for a couple training meetings. It was loads of fun, but she dearly missed her Jason :) and is glad to be back home and ready to rock this business!
